2009 NBA Draft Skills Challenge: Top Shooters

2009 NBA Draft HQ!On the most part, the 2009 NBA Draft is not know for deadly long-range shooters. However, there's no doubt that our consensus top shooter Stephen Curry can bomb from long-range. Big-name players like Wayne Ellington, Marcus Thornton, and Jodie Meeks can also heat up from long-range, but all are considered streak shooters. Meanwhile there are less-heralded prospects like Lee Cummard, Toney Douglas, and Jack McClinton, all of whom can hit threes in bunches.

As part of our NBA Draft Skills Challenge series, CHN experts rank the Best Shooters in the Draft.  Click on player name for profile & scouting report. Our experts rankings will be updated once the official Entry list is finalized.

Best shooters!!

The best shooter is Jimmy Baron Jr. Did you see what he did at Portsmouth, Virginia? In three games he made sixteen three-pointers!! In one game he made 9 three-pointers. By the way he broke both Pre-draft records. You guys keep sleeping on this outstanding three-point shooter. Coach K saw his skills at Duke this year. I would put him up against anybody on your list!!

Blake Griffin?

Sorry for the departure from the site after a very disappointing end of the 08/09 season for me! I have to ask Jon Teitel... Blake Griffin? I'm not all that familiar with his game. The one game I saw he had great quickness and a great ability to score and take down rebounds, but as a shooter?

LOL! Blake Griffin?!!

That Jon Teitel dude is an idiot. Doesn't even know the meaning of a shooter. That's credibility as a writer for you. Why he became an "EXPERT" for CollegeHoops is astounding!
