Mountain West Freshman of the Year, Freshman All-American Team
Scouting Report:
Game has improved
dramatically since beginning of his college basketball career… great skills
for a big man… can know down medium range jump shot… phenomenal interior
passer… makes it difficult to double team him… major question is whether
lack of athleticism will hurt him at next level… for example fellow
countryman Luc Longley was never able to become a dominant force in the NBA
Strengths: Solid mid-range
game… can play facing and with his back to basket… tremendous interior
passer… competitive, desire to get better
Weaknesses: Athleticism,
needs the right system to be effective

Siegel's Take -
Top 30 Scouting Reports
“I often wondered if Rick Majerus
brought along Bogut slowly as a freshman, just so that he’d stick around for
another year. Bogut could have put up 18 a game as a freshman if he was
allowed, and would have scored even more points on a team with better
weapons. While he still lacks the toughness you want out of an NBA center,
he should be a lock to score around 16 points and 10 rebounds per game
within just a couple of seasons in the NBA.”
