College:
Georgetown
Class: Senior
Stats:
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=12052
Position: SF/PF
Height: 6”9”
Weight: 225 lbs
Scouting Report:
Long big man who lacks any dominant skill.
Strengths:
Good height and length for a small forward. Unselfish player who
does not dominate play and can fit into the team concept. Can do a
little bit of everything on the court and is not a liability on defense.
Not blazing speed, though he can get up and down the court on the wings
and finish.
Weaknesses:
Though Bowman
doesn't have any glaring weaknesses, he also doesn't have any wowing
strengths. Cant beat you off the dribble in the half court, and his
jumper is inconsistent at best.
Projected 2006 Draft
Range: Late 2nd Round Pick or Undrafted.
Consensus:
Bowman's
6'9" 225 lb frame is what NBA scouts love to see out of small forwards.
But, NBA reserves usually are there to fit a specific role (3-point
shooting, rebounding, ball-handling, etc) and Bowman doesn't really have
a role.
