Position: 2G
Height: 6’6”
Weight: 210lbs
Accolades:
Honorable Mention All-Pac 10 (04), Honorable Mention All-Pac 10 (05).
Scouting Report:
A great penetrator that
can get to the rim to score or knock down pull up jumpers. Also is an
above average rebounder and passer. Good defender that gets steals and
blocks shots.
Strengths:
Beating his man off the dribble – can beat his man and score off the
dribble with the best of them. Also racks up plenty of boards and
assists for his size.
Weaknesses:
Outside shot needs work. Will have trouble playing the 2 guard spot in
the NBA unless he improves his shooting.
Projected 2006 Draft Range:
Late first round pick.
Consensus:
If Roy can get himself a consistent jump shot he could be a
very dangerous pro player. Currently NBA defenders will slack off of
him and deny him penetrating because his jumper won’t keep them honest.
Decent ball handling, passing ability and defensive skills may allow him
to play some point in the pros.
