Athletic big man who excels on the defensive end of the floor.
Strengths:
Defense. Great
shot blocker – good hops and long wingspan. Runs the floor extremely
well for a post player. Has good hands. Can finish around the basket.
Decent rebounder. Experienced – practiced against many future NBA pro
bigmen (Okafor, Villanueva) while at Connecticut.
Weaknesses:
Not much of an offensive player – doesn’t have a lot of post moves or a
good jump shot. Horrible free throw shooter. Has been inconsistent.

Range:
Late lottery to mid first round pick.
Consensus:
Boone’s
athleticism, experience and defensive skills have him as a sure fire
first round pick. With a little polish on his offensive game he could
be a very solid pro at both ends of the floor – he will at the very
least be a very good defensive pro.
