NBA Draft: Marco Killingsworth

College: Indiana

Class: Senior

Stats: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=5557

Position: PF

Height: 6’8”

Weight: 268lbs

Accolades: Auburn Hustle Award (02), Auburn Outstanding Offensive Player (03), All-SEC Second Team –coaches (third team – media) (04).

Scouting Report: A load down low, with great post moves and a good rebounding touch.  Too short to play the NBA 4 spot?

Strengths: Great post moves – gets good position and has a wide variety of moves down low.  Good rebounder.

Weaknesses: Height – is he really 6’8” – even so, may be too short to play post in the NBA.  Plus, his bulk doesn’t really translate to the small forward position very well.  Not super athletic.  Foul prone.  Will be 24 years old when the draft roles around.

Projected 2006 Draft Range: Late first round to late second round pick.

Consensus:  Depending on what height Killingsworth is official measured at in the pre-draft camps may decide his draft position.  If he is only 6’7” NBA may shy away from him since he definitely is a post player, not a 3.  However, due to his great post offense and decent rebounding ability he should get drafted and get a sniff at the pros.
