NBA Draft: Randy Foye

College: Villanova

Class: Senior

Stats: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=11153

Position: PG/SG

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 205lbs

Accolades: Big East All-Tournament Team (05), NCAA Syracuse All-Region Team (05), Third Team All-Big East (05).

Scouting Report: A terrific all around player capable of playing the 1 or the 2.  Great penetrator.

Strengths: Scoring – can score via penetration of bombing from behind the arc.  Also collects tons of boards for his size and racks up assists.  Very tough player.  Great leaper who can finish strong at the rim.  Good hands and defensive skills – grabs a lot of steals.  Has improved his point guard skills this season.

Weaknesses: Not a pure point guard – turns the ball over too much.  Could be a little small to play the 2 guard in the NBA.

Projected 2006 Draft Range: Lottery – mid first round pick.

Consensus:  Foye’s all around game and fearlessness should make him a high pick in this year’s draft.  His toughness, athleticism, handles and scoring ability will make him a decent pro.  If he proves to be a capable point guard in the NBA, he could have a very long career.
