2006 NBA DRAFT PROFILE

NBA Draft: Terrell Everett

College: Oklahoma

Class: Senior

Stats: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=22156

Position: PG/SG

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 188lbs

Accolades: Second team JUCO All-American (04), Honorable mention All-Big 12 (05), Big 12 All-Newcomer Team (05).

Scouting Report: A crafty lefty who can play both the 1 and the 2.  Able to penetrate and dish or score on his own.  Also a very good rebounder for a guard.

Strengths: Great penetrator with a quick first step.  Is a nifty passer off the dribble.  Has good size for a point guard and uses it to grab more than his share of boards.

Weaknesses: Inconsistent.  Turns over the ball too much.  Doesn’t have a good outside shot.  Doesn’t score a huge amount.  Lacks experience that most seniors have due to playing 2 years in JUCO.

Projected 2006 Draft Range: Early to mid second round pick.

Consensus:  Everett has great potential as a point guard in the NBA due to his size.  He will be able to beat men off the dribble and is a good enough defender for the pros.  He will have to acquire an outside shot and improve his decision making (aka – limit turnovers) to really have an impact.  Could be a steal if he slips into the second round.
