Nets Take Sean Williams

Siegel (9:17:13 PM): Apparently, the nets need a new drug supplier
J-Tom (9:18:35 PM): Is he even good enough to take a risk on him?
Siegel (9:18:39 PM): Oh, Tirico says Williams only smokes on his free time.. apparently not in practice? But Nets need major help at the 4, now they can dump Jason collins
J-Tom (9:20:49 PM): Is he really any better than Mikki Moore?
Siegel (9:21:15 PM): Moore cant really defend down low.. he weighs 100 pounds

Knicks deal and Nets pick

Siegel (9:14:33 PM): Knicks deal..
J-Tom (9:14:37 PM): Wow, that may be the worst trade in a long time
Siegel (9:14:44 PM): haha, i love the honesty
J-Tom (9:15:01 PM): is that the best they can get for randolph? They didn't even get a starter

Detroit takes Stuckey and what do Gm's know..?

J-Tom (9:07:33 PM): Interesting question, do you think NBA front office's watch more college basketball than most CHN readers/writers?
Siegel (9:07:41 PM): No, not even close.. scouts watch.. gm's watch tourney games and workouts and read espn..
Fox (9:08:13 PM): And chn
Siegel (9:08:51 PM): If they read chn, they'd all end up taking nate funk or some mvc guy..
J-Tom (9:09:03 PM): haha
Siegel (9:09:38 PM): But seriously, GM's no no more than we do.. they're all former NBA guys. There's this myth that guys who played must somehow know more..
J-Tom (9:10:48 PM): Well most guys who played are terrible GMs
Siegel (9:10:52 PM): Exactly
J-Tom (9:10:56 PM): I cant think of a good one off the top of my head

Who are the 3 Best Prospect Left?

Siegel (8:56:07 PM): Hornets take Julian Wright, who are the best guys left? I'll go: Crittenton, Nick Young, and then Al Thornton
Fox (8:57:08 PM): Crittenton, Nick young, Thornton
Siegel (8:57:13 PM): copied me..
Foxyjjchn (8:57:34 PM): That's why we're the "experts"!!
Fro o Tee 44 (8:57:37 PM): Crittenton, Thornton, Nick Young
Collegehoopsnet (8:57:47 PM): haha..
J-Tom (8:58:17 PM): Thornton, Young and...  Ill go Jason Smith

Sixers Take Thaddeus Young

Raphielle (8:47:54 PM): I didn't see Young going that high
J-Tom (8:48:01 PM): So dumb.. how can you look at Al Thornton and young and decide on young?
Fox (8:48:37 PM): Young is going to be better than Thornton.. don't worry
J-Tom (8:48:59 PM): They have now have Carney, Iguodala, Young... and Joe smith
Fox (8:49:29 PM): Don't forget - Joe Smith is a former #1 pick!!
Fox (8:50:05 PM): No way Young should have gone before Crittenton
Siegel (8:50:34 PM): I agree, I like them both.. but Javaris gets no love

Noah, Hawes, and Law get picked..

Siegel (8:37:41 PM): I actually agree with Stepehen A here about Bulls making poor choice with Noah
J-Tom (8:38:23 PM): Well, I dont think its a great pick but is he saying they should've taken someone with no energy?
Siegel (8:38:44 PM): Well, just not focus on energy.. and focus on other skills
Fox (8:38:45 PM): Is law going to be better than crittenton?
Fox (8:39:04 PM): I have to be careful what i say
Siegel (8:39:10 PM): Melvin Ely not setting good precedence for acie law..
Fox (8:39:17 PM): I've made alot of atlanta hawk fan enemies!!
Raphielle (8:39:31 PM): Haha...there are lots of Hawks fans?
Collegehoopsnet (8:39:33 PM): I think Crittenton might be the most underrated talent out there
J-Tom (8:39:55 PM): The Sixers are on the clock, i have to get a bat and an invaluable object

Wright Goes Off the Board. ight Goes Off the Board.

Fox (8:19:09 PM): They lucked out getting this guy that low
J-Tom (8:20:00 PM): There's a decent chance they don't keep him too, right?
Fox (8:20:10 PM): Sounds that way
Siegel (8:20:13 PM): True, Charlotte's been in lots of trade talks
J-Tom (8:20:15 PM): Unless Rachel Nichols is deceiving us all
Siegel(8:20:33 PM): I wouldn't put it past Rachel..
Fox (8:21:13 PM): Can someone sneak in there and cut Stephen A's mic, please and thanks.

Brewer Goes 7th..

J-Tom (8:12:39 PM): I think hes going to be solid, although his jumper isn't as good as he shot in the tourney, that hot streak really helped him.
Raphielle (8:13:40 PM): He's got some mechanics issues with his jumper, but that can be fixed
Fox (8:13:41 PM): Teams fell in love with that hot streak
Siegel (8:14:10 PM): Like workouts, teams overrate the tourney.. especially the final four
Fox (8:14:15 PM): Exactly
Siegel (8:14:17 PM): I swear teams dont watch games before March
J-Tom (8:14:22 PM): Well jeff green went ahead of brewer. He struggled in the tourney a bit or was that just that one game?
Raphielle (8:14:52 PM): one game in my opinion
Siegel (8:15:05 PM): It was G'Town's success which helped Green get to 5.. if they lost in round two.. he's a 12th pick

Where is Brandan Wright and Noah love..

Fox (8:05:53 PM): How did Wright go from #3 to not even picked yet?!?
Siegel (8:06:36 PM): "workouts"
Raphielle (8:07:12 PM): Haha workouts
Fox (8:07:25 PM): Sad but true.. workouts fool alot of gms
Siegel (8:07:53 PM): If I was a GM, I just wouldnt hold them.. watch some college games for 20 minutes and you can figure it out..
Raphielle (8:08:44 PM): The only workouts that make sense to me are the pre-draft camps when you see guys in competitive 5-on-5 situations
Fox (8:09:01 PM): That is why the top guys don't play in them
Siegel (8:09:08 PM): Exactly Jeff, exposes you
Fox (8:09:16 PM): Big babies.
jJ-Tom (8:09:30 PM): You have to give Noah credit for what he's been doing.. even though he annoys me, hes dead on with this whole process
Fox (8:09:55 PM): he's going to be a great pro
Raphielle (8:10:03 PM): Noah's the man
J-Tom (8:10:17 PM): He's a great glue guy
Fox (8:10:28 PM): Who cares if he can't shoot.. Jason Kidd can't either.. and he's a guard

Picks Five and Six

Fox (7:59:45 PM): Did someone die?!? - Jeff Green's mom is really bawling!!

J-Tom (8:01:49 PM): I have a strange feeling my Sixers are getting Yi

Siegel (8:01:50PM): Think so?

J-Tom (8:02:18 PM): I think so.. it makes sense (although that means it probably wont happen) because Yi wont play for milwaukee

Raphielle (8:03:02 PM): With Mo Williams and Boykins being free agents, we need a PG. So trading down would make the most sense
Siegel (8:03:07 PM): Exactly, it would make sense for both teams probably
Raphielle (8:03:14 PM): Not to mention Yi doesn't want to go there..
Raphielle (8:04:18 PM): Excuse me while I cry myself to sleep
J-Tom (8:04:38 PM): I would highly doubt if Yi plays for the Bucks

Conley to the Grizzlies

Fox (7:53:32 PM): I really like Conley and his game but just not this high in the draft
Siegel (7:53:42 PM): I think he's rock solid.. but #4 stud potential.. no
Raphielle (7:53:58 PM): I agree on Conley.. too high
Fox (7:54:08 PM): I don't go for drafting by position.. take the best guy available, regardless of their position

Raphielle (7:54:30 PM): This must mean that they'll keep Gasol

J-Tom (7:54:58 PM): That team is a serious mess, they will probably have the worst record in the league again

Siegel (7:55:12 PM): Wouldn't surprise me

Hawks Take Al Horford

Siegel (7:48:50 PM): Think this is a botched pick by Atlanta?

Raphielle (7:49:03 PM): No, they got it right

Siegel (7:49:19 PM): Safe pick, but he's not a star

J-Tom (7:49:35 PM): I think hell be real solid

Raphielle (7:49:39 PM): best player left on the board in my opinion

J-Tom (7:50:31 PM): They will definitely be able to get Crittenton or Law, which isn't bad at 11

Siegel (7:50:41 PM): Yea, it worked out well how there picks got spread out

Proposed Trade

Siegel (7:41:34 PM): Ooh, a proposed and agreed trade
J-Tom (7:43:03 PM): Where does Boston get off pulling this deal? Ray Allen, paul pierce, Al Jefferson and no one else for the next four years?
J-Tom (7:43:44 PM): Two players at the end of their prime and jefferson who is going to need big money pretty soon
Raphielle (7:43:52 PM): The pipe dream of playing in the Atlantic Division
Siegel (7:44:03 PM): Heck, if Toronto can win the Atlantic..

The First Two Picks

Fox (7:01:23 PM): Noah's hair is looking ridiculous tonight!

Fox (7:26:18 PM): Crap - i forgot we have to listen to Vitale tonight

Siegel (7:26:43 PM): I know, Ive been enjoying a couple months without him

J-TOM (7:29:59 PM): Stephen A. has become a caricature and Mark Jackson is half-decent but doesn't seem to know much about personnel moves and stuff

Collegehoopsnet (7:40:51 PM): What do you guys think of Conley going fourth?
jtom2141 (7:41:23 PM): I dont see how he is considered a better prospect than green and brewer

Raphielle (7:42:02 PM): ...and why did Memphis take Kyle Lowry in the lottery last year?

Collegehoopsnet (7:43:51 PM): Alright, lets get to the good picks.. Oden and Durant.. yawn.
