It may have been Good Friday for the rest of the world, but for college basketball fans it was a Great Friday. While Thursday’s opening round games had their moments, Friday’s slate of action was full of what makes the NCAA tournament great – upsets, nail biters, buzzer beaters & great individual performances.

Miami Puts Away St. John's

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Justin Burrell and D.J. Kennedy each tallied ten points for the Red Storm, but the Miami Hurricanes held off St. John’s 66-47. St. John’s is now 4-1 on the season, while the Hurricanes remain unbeaten at 7-0.
Down 29-19 with 5:23 to go in the first, St. John’s used a 10-0 run to finish out the half and went into halftime tied at 29-29. Burrell tallied six points during the rally as he made four free throws and also added a jumper right before the buzzer.
