With the college basketball season finally on the horizon, the game that's been overlooked by many in conference realignment will once again have the center stage. Perennial contenders will once again make a run at a national title while some new faces will pop up as well. The first four-part preview will focus on the conferences, and more specifically who will win each of the 32 leagues. In the final part of this series, the final eight conference champions are selected.

In twenty seasons on the "big island" Coach Wallace led UH to two WAC titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Jon Teitel: You averaged 10+ points per game during your career at Centenary, and later became assistant coach at your alma mater after recruiting Robert Parish. How good a player were you back in the day, and how did you convince Parish to come there?

Orlando Lightfoot is Idaho's all-time leading scorerIn the most recent installment in his "Forgotten Legends" interview series CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Idaho great Orlando Lightfoot, who in three years at the school posted some numbers that may never be reached. Lightfoot is still the school's all-time leading scorer, having scored 2,102 points in three seasons before playing 13 years in Europe. Lightfoot is now an account manager for a trucking company in Chattanooga.

Next up is the Southeast region, which contributed to the craziness of the NCAA Tournament beginning with Butler knocking off top-seed Pittsburgh in the third round. The question now is what's next for the entire region beginning with the Panthers, who welcome a solid recruiting class while also waiting to see what Ashton Gibbs' decision in regards to staying in the NBA Draft will be.

By the time Thursday's schedule is finished millions of brackets will be ruined, which should come as no surprise given the regular season.
