A companion to our daily Three Stars of the Day, we present the top three Games of the Night.

Big Ten: All-December

January 5th, 2008
Indiana

Status quo in the Big Ten, as Drew Neitzel is the only person on the All-December team that didn’t make the All-November team.

Guard – Drew Neitzel – Michigan State – SR
14.5ppg, 4.6apg, 2.5rpg
Best game – Dec 15th – IPFW – 18 points, 5 assists, 4 boards, 2 steals

Senior Neitzel’s scoring is down this year, but he is doing something far more important to the team’s success – taking care of the ball. He has a very solid 4.29 assists to turnover ratio, and in the month of December dished out 32 dimes and only turned the ball over eight times.

The 2007 CBE Classic will give fans a look at two potential Final Four candidates in UCLA and Michigan State, who enter as the favorites to meet in the tournament championship in Kansas City on Nov. 20. The Bruins, fresh off back-to-back Final Four appearances, welcome in stud freshman Kevin Love to anchor the post, while the Spartans return do-everything point guard Drew Neitzel, the pre-season favorite for Big Ten Player of the Year.

Daily Dribble: Big Ten Top 25 Players

October 11th, 2007
Big TenFollowing the ACC Top 25 Players earlier in the week, I move to the Midwest to take on the Big Ten. Outside the top handful of players, the talent is not comparable to the other BCS leagues. Still, there's new talent at Purdue, Ohio State, and elsewhere that could push some of these mediocre veterans off the list by season's end.
