January 3rd, 2008

Following a run of Year in Review articles, its time to look ahead to what will almost certainly be a magical 2008.

Today's Question: What will be the big college basketball story in 2008?

Daily Dribble: Top 50 Mid-Major Ranking

January 2nd, 2008
ButlerRolling in the New Year with the first of three multi-conference rankings. Today will be the Top 50 Mid-Major teams, followed by the a complete "High-Major" ranking (conference 7 through 12), and then an overall BCS ranking. As a reminder, I consider the A10, CAA, CUSA, MVC, MWC, WAC to be "High-Major" conferences.

Daily Dribble: Mid-Major Ranking

December 6th, 2007
MACFollowing yesterday's "High-Major" ranking, today's "Mid-Major" list contains what I consider to be the usual 13th through 17th ranked conferences: Big West, Horizon, MAC, Sun Belt, and WCC. Of course, some years there are other leagues that squeak into the Top 17, but only once since 2000 (Ivy in 2002) has a league not included in my rankings finished in the top 16 RPI.

Thanksgiving Daily Dribble: Replay in 15

November 22nd, 2007

As always, the concept is simple. A recap of yesterday's action in 15 quick bullet-points. We begin:

1. We all know this is the year of the freshman, but it goes deeper than just the Kyle Singlers (25 points last night), Kosta Koufos's (24), and Patrick Pattersons (23) of the world.

2. Dayton freshman Chris Wright had 26 and 12 over Toledo last night, and Pepperdine's Tyrone Shelley had 24 in an OT win over LBSU.

3. Neither of those guys success should be that shocking though, both were consensus Top 100 recruits.
