Although the college football season is winding down and conference championship games are just around the corner, college basketball ruled the holiday week. With plenty of tournaments and marquee match-ups on every night, fans who weren’t interested in this season yet definitely had a chance to get in the swing of things. At the same time, there was certainly an abundance of tremendous individual performances, including impressive weeks from the usual suspects: Chase Budinger, Sean Singletary, Tyler Hansbrough, Kevin Love, Eric Gordon, Michael Beasley, among others.

Texas Signs PG Dogus Balbay

AUSTIN, TX - Point guard Dogus Balbay (Istanbul, Turkey) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball next season at The University of Texas, head coach Rick Barnes announced today. The addition of Balbay finalizes a four-man recruiting class that includes forwards Clint Chapman, Gary Johnson and Alexis Wangmene.
