Wright State Tops UIC: Flames Only Score 31
DAYTON - When we last left off Wright State had just held Loyola to just four field goals in the second half as they beat them 68-47 on Thursday night. Tonight Wright State held University of Illinois-Chicago to just five buckets in the second half and a school record 31 points in the game as the Raiders win 57-31.

DAYTON - Another day another defensive gem for the Wright State Raiders as they held Loyola to 29.4 percent shooting for the game and 15.4 percent in the second half to get a home court win 68-47.
The final score was not a true indication of how tight the game was until the end.
Butler Rolls Over Wright State, 64-48
INDIANAPOLIS - When a team makes three more baskets and eight more foul shots than their opponent, then they are going to win and tonight that team was Butler, as they defeated Wright State 64-48.
Tonight it was all Butler, all the time, as they scored the first basket and never allowed the Wright State (8-8, 2-3 HL) to get a lead.
Wright State Continues Good Play, Beats CSU
DAYTON - It took their patented defense in the first half and an offensive explosion in the second half, to give Wright State their first league win of the season, at home, over Cleveland State 71-62.
Wright State (7-7, 1-2 HL) scored the first basket at the 18:05 mark when Ronnie Thomas took a feed from Will Graham to put in a layup and the Raiders held the lead for the entire game.
Wright State's defense was so dominate that with 3:07 remaining in the first half the Vikings has scored only three baskets, were shooting 13 percent and were behind 21-12.

1 - Why the heck is their no college basketball the next three days? Is someone trying to punish me?
2 - Butler has officially moved into the legit category (which Bulldog fans have been telling me all season) after knocking off Xavier last night. There was a Matt Howard sigting too, as the big man had 19 points and 14 boards.
Wright Stats Pouns Norfolk State 63-43
As the game progressed the Raiders' offense improved, but it was their defense that set the tone for this game as it has in all of their wins this year.
Wright State (3-7) set a new school record holding the Spartans to just 12 first half points, as they held them to just 31.5 percent (17-54) shooting for the game.
Wright State Finally Gets a Win: Tops Toledo
It wasn't pretty unless you liked defense but it broke Wright State's longest losing streak to start a season since joining the ranks of Division I just 21 years ago.
As for Toledo (2-7) it was another dent in first year coach Gene Cross' rebuilding job.
Wright Falls to 0-3 Against Miami
DAYTON - In the past two years the Miami-Wright State games have been decided by a total of two points resulting in two Raider wins. This year the anticipated tight game never materialized as Miami's defense frustrated Wright State to win 55-37 in front of 5517 fans.
Wright State's defense was good holding Miami to just 37.5 (18-48) from the field, but Miami's defense was incredible locking down the Raiders to 26.5 just percent (13-49) from the field.
Illinois State Tops Wright State, 69-61
With the victory, the Redbirds claimed their third-straight non-conference road victory, dating back to last season, and improved to 1-0 on the season.
