Olympics: Team USA Wins Gold
Team USA defeated Spain in the Olympic Gold Medal Game on Sunday by the score of 118-107. With the victory, the U.S. completed an 8-0 sweep of its competition in Beijing and more importantly accomplished the "Redeem Team" mission of bringing gold back home to the United States.

Following a slow start, the United States quickly regrouped and rolled past Australia by the score of 116-85 in Olympic quarterfinal action Wednesday night in Beijing. Team USA improves to 6-0 with the win and more importantly advances to Friday's semifinal round.

Team USA concluded its perfect run through Preliminary Play with its most dominating Olympic performance to date, throttling Germany by the score of 106-57 Monday night in Beijing. With the victory, the U.S. wrapped up prelims with a perfect 5-0 mark in Group B and has the top record entering the single-elimination medal round.
Dwight Howard led all scorers with 22 points and 10 rebounds while LeBron James added 18. Dirk Nowitzki led Germany with 14 points in 23 minutes.
Olympics: Team USA 119 - Spain 82
Team USA improved to 4-0 in Olympic Preliminary Play, blowing past reigning FIBA World Champion Spain by the score of 119-82 Saturday night in Beijing. With the win, the United States has clinched the No. 1 seed for Group B when the medal round begins next week.
Former Temple Owl Mark Tyndale to Play in Australia
PHILADELPHIA - Temple University men's basketball standout Mark Tyndale has signed a professional basketball contract with the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL). He will leave for Australia next week.
"This is a great opportunity," Tyndale said. "Adelaide made me a generous offer and (former Temple star) Rick Brunson said it is a really good league to play in."
NBA: Former Zag Dan Dickau Signing in Italy
Dickau, 29, averaged 5.3 points and 2.6 assists in 67 games with the Clippers last season, his sixth in the NBA. In 300 career games with Atlanta, Portland, Dallas, New Orleans and Boston, he has posted averages of 5.8 points and 2.5 assists.
His best season came in 2004-05 with New Orleans, when he played in 67 games -- 46 starts -- and averaged 13.2 points with 5.2 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game.
