2008 Draft: Second Round Gems

They don't get to shake David Stern's hand. They don't get to show off new suits, try on their team hats, or get interviewed by Stephen A. Smith.  Occasionally, the television audience has to wait until the commercial break ends to see who was selected. They only get to listen to the analysts talk about them for about two minutes before they move onto the next pick. Yes...the life of a second-rounder isn't easy.

The 2008 NBA Draft is finally in the books, and most of the viewing audience are regaining their hearing after listening to four-plus hours of Stephen A. Smith, Dick Vitale and Stuart Scott. Sixty picks, a handful of trades, buckets of tears from proud mothers, some odd suit choices and A LOT of camera shots of Darrell Arthur in the green room later, it's time to see who came out ahead this year, and who will be saving seats for next year's lottery.

NBA DraftSome unforunate prospects never got the call on Draft night, but they shouldn't worry too much. It can be positive for a rookie to have a say in what NBA training camp he ends up. The following are CHN's Top 30 Undrafted prospects according to our Pre-Draft rankings. With the exception of Tadija Dragicevic, who I had never even heard of, most of the 2nd rounders were expected so there's no huge shockers on the undrafted list.

Writers Picks: Consensus Top Draft Prospects

Projecting NBA careers is no science. We asked eight CHN writers to submit their top 15 2008 NBA Draft prospects, and no surprise, everyone had a different list.  The numbers were then compiled, giving 15 points for a 1st place vote on down to 1 point for a 15th place vote.
