Edward N. Matisik, Esq., is a native of Johnstown, Pa., where he grew up following the St. Francis University Red Flash.  He graduated from Boston University in 1984 with a degree in business before completing both a master's degree in arts management and a law degree at American University.  He has also attended medical school at George Washington University and did his pre-medicine work at the University of the District of Columbia.  He has also studied theater management at Columbia College of Chicago.
Mr. Matisik worked for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. for over 12 years, managing fundraising programs aimed at individual donors.  After graduating from law school at American U., he opened his own law practice specializing in the areas of the law of nonprofit organizations and educational institutions.  He writes a monthly newsletter on college and university law and has published two books on Pennsylvania education law and the Americans with Disabilities Act.  He is currently at work on his first novel.
Mr. Matisik grew up playing table-top sports games and eventually worked for a number of companies doing statistical analysis of college and professional sports.  Those persons who have played Sports Illustrated College Basketball, Statis-Pro College Basketball, and Negamco College Basketball are familiar with his work.
He is a devoted fan of the American University Eagles and the Boston University Terriers.  He eagerly awaits the day that the AU men's basketball team finally makes the NCAA Tournament.
