As first reported by the Philadelphia Daily News and Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com, the rich are about to get richer. Tyreke Evans, the nation's top unsigned high school recruit, is planning on choosing Memphis as his collegiate destination, according to sources close to the situation. The 6-5 combo guard will make his official decision at a press conference on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. "Look at everything, spell it all out, Tyreke fits perfectly at Memphis," one source said. "[His family is] looking at what program will give him the most exposure and develop him into an NBA-caliber player." The source also said Evans wanted to get away from Chester (Pa.) after an incident in which he allegedly witnessed a homicide involving his cousin. Another source said: "The feeling is that Tyreke was always going to wind up at Memphis." Evans is ranked as the No. 2 point guard and No. 8 player overall by Rivals.com, and the No. 2 shooting guard and No. 7 player overall by Scout.com.
