It's not really fair to talk about Iowa and Illinois when there are some teams wrapping up their regular season. Conference tournament seeds are on the line in conferences like the Atlantic Sun and Horizon League. Amazingly, we are only three days away from the true madness beginning and a few more days away from having games at 1:00 on a Thursday; which is fun, but I have trouble waking up early on days besides Saturday and Sunday. In Champaign, the Illini look to even up with the Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Standings. By tip-off time, the teams will know if Ohio State is 10-4 or 9-5. If the Buckeyes are 9-5, an Iowa win will have Steve Alford firmly on top of the conference with two winnable home games against Penn State and Wisconsin remaining on the schedule. Ohio State doesn't have it much tougher after their trip to UofM today, with a journey to Welsh-Ryan and a home game against Purdue remaining on the slate.
