This Week's Question: Will Kentucky Make the NCAA Tournament?

 

Our weekly and eventual Daily Field of 65 continues into Christmas week. The Bracketology field is based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last week's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially though.)

 

The Collegehoops.net Top 50 Power Ranking is the web's premier ordering of the national college basketball scene.  Is the Top 50 Better than the AP or the Coaches Polls? Perhaps.. but at the very least, the Top 50 has no agenda like the coaches and we go deeper into the country than most power-conference biased media members. The CHN Top 50 is brought to you before everybody else on Sunday night!

1 - Most college basketball teams are guard oriented, but Leonard Hamilton didn't get the memo. Outside of Toney Douglas, FSU has virtually no one of much worth in the backcourt. Douglas is an underrated player, but there's too much pressure on him.

1 - Everyone knows the Big East is loaded. This is most unfortunate for Rutgers who will have a hard time winning more than a game or two in league play. The Knights have already lost to Lehigh, Binghamton, and St. Bonaventure (2 of those coming at home.) When they go on the road to face UNC in 2 weeks, the score could potentially be 100-0.

 

This Week's Question: How Good will Stephen Curry Do in the NBA?

 

Recent "college" scoring stars.. the one's that actually made their names in the NCAA like Adam Morrison and JJ Redick have all disappointed in the pros. Even after averaging 25.9 ppg last year and leading his team to some big-time Tournament wins, Curry had more pro doubters than supporters.
