Daily Bracketology

 

Another day, another Field of 65. As you should know by now, I'm projecting the Tournament field on a daily basis for the rest of the year (except no Saturday's since there's little action Friday). This is a field based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." For one-bid leagues, I simply include the conference leader at the time of publishing. In case of ties, I use my projected winner.

 

Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last night's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially.)

 

Note on Friday's Movement: A lot of movement in today's field. Stanford's loss drops them down from the last 2 seed to the first 4 seed. Texas (who it can be argued deserved that spot anyways) move up to that last 2 seed, while UCONN also surpasses the Cardinal, moving up to a 3. A small win by West Virginia gets them above .500 in Big East play, and they switch spots with Florida, moving up to a 10. A loss by South Alabama puts WKU into the Sun Belt lead.. but the Jaguars remain in the field as the 2nd to last at-large bid. They take the spot of UMASS, who lost to Fordham and is now relegated to the Next in Line bunch. Arizona State's nice OT win over Stanford pushes them a bit more firmly into the field, but they're still the 4th worst at-large team. Down farther, another win by Oral Roberts and a boost in the RPI pushes them to a 13 seed, knocking down UNC-Asheville. Also, Robert Morris replaces Sacred Heart as the NEC leader.
