Daily Bracketology: Monday's Tournament Projection

Another day, another Field of 65. As you should know by now, I'm projecting the NCAA Tournament field on a daily basis for the rest of the year (except no Saturday's since there's little action Friday). This is a field based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." For one-bid leagues, I simply include the conference leader at the time of publishing. In case of ties, I use my projected winner.

 

Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last night's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially.)

 

Note on Monday's Movement: A pair of Big East teams jump past a Big Ten team in the ranking. L'Ville surpasses Wisconsin, and ND goes up a spot past Michigan State. The big changes are down by the fringe bubble teams, where Rhode Island, Syracuse, and Ohio State all lost. OSU drops to the last team in the field due to a dismal 1-8 record against Top 50 teams, and they only have one win against a current Tourney team (Syracuse.. who isn't that good either). UMASS, Kent State, and St. Joseph's (who all won this weekend) are the beneficiaries of those losses. UMASS moves into the last 10 spot for now, while Kent State and SJU move up to 11's. The only reason Ohio State, Syracuse, and Maryland remain in the field is that the teams next in line are doing equally as bad. Look for Creighton, New Mexico, and SIU to make big pushes this week.
