Daily Bracketology: Sunday's Field of 65

Daily Bracketology

 

Another day, another Field of 65. As you should know by now, I'm projecting the Tournament field on a daily basis for the rest of the year (except no Saturday's since there's little action Friday). This is a field based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." For one-bid leagues, I simply include the conference leader at the time of publishing. In case of ties, I use my projected winner.

 

Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last night's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially.)

 

Note on Sunday's Movement: Obviously a lot of changes after a busy Saturday. The field is littered with green and red arrows. Not much change at the top, where despite a loss by Georgetown, they only fall one spot behind Texas. UCONN also moves past Butler in the 3 grouping as their RPI continues to creep upwards. Michigan State's loss allows Louisville to move into a 4, but the Spartans still stay slightly ahead of Indiana due to a better RPI and SOS. There are no new teams in the field, though losses by Florida, Oregon, and Arizona State push them all close to missing out. Dayton is still next in line, and may very well move back in soon due to tough upcoming games for the Pac-10 teams. Syracuse, who was the last team in, moves into more firm ground by beating Georgetown.
