Bracketology 08-09: Week Five
Bracketology: December 30th
Our weekly and eventual Daily Field of 65 continues into New Year's week. The Bracketology field is based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last week's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially though.)
Important: Up until the beginning of conference play, the #1 RPI team in the conference is listed as the projected champ! (The purpose is to prevent the bracketology series from merely being my own subjective views about who will eventually make it down the line.)
Note on Today's Movement:
Arrows indicate movement by seed. Two arrows equals a change of two seeds, etc..

UK will be in the field come March. Bye.

The MWC will get 2-3 teams in this year, as always
With Utah beating Gonzaga, and UNLV beating Louisville last night, the Mountain West looks poised to get at least two teams in. BYU has a chance to prove itself as one of the nation's elite Saturday versus Wake Forest. Second and Third Place will be a battle between San Diego State, New Mexico, Utah, and UNLV. I say BYU and UNLV will be in for sure, while the others have a lot of work left to do.
Wake is definetly good, but
Wake is definetly good, but a 2 seed? I am a Deacs fan, but I am expecting a 3 seed
The Deacs are back!

Stanford?
You're saying Stanford will win the Pac-10? Highly doubtful...
