While I'm not quite ready for the Daily Field of 65, expect updates every 2-3 days for the next 2 weeks. The Bracketology field is based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last week's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially though.)
Why should you care what I have to say? Did you know, last year I was considered to have one of the Top 2 or 3 brackets (depending on the scoring rubric) amongst 53 national experts including Joe Lunardi, Gary Parrish and the like).
Movement:
Last update was February 13th. Arrows indicate movement by seed. Two arrows equals a change of two seeds, etc..
Even though the top three seeds remained unchanged, there is jostling, as Duke is no longer next in line for a #1. Arizona State had a big week against the LA area schools, while Florida & Butler are the big losers. Wisconsin is the sole new team in the Field. Providence & Creighton also make their debut in the Last Out sections.

Dropped Out Today (at-large): Georgetown, (for Wisconsin)
I really like Temple and think they're underrated. They have a good chance coming up to make some headway with 3 relatively easy home games, and just the lone tough game at Dayton as you referenced. I think 12-4 with a good showing in the A-10 tourney give them a great shot. They really don't have a bad loss on the schedule, played a lot of tough games on the road or on neutral courts. But just one marquee win against Tennessee.
In terms of the total BCS teams, I wouldn't pay much attention to that. This is a down year as far as non-BCS leagues go outside of the MWC, plus that might be corrected merely by an upset tourney winner in a league like the A-10 or HL, etc.

Sorry, but that's a complete joke. That's twenty seconds of my life I'll never get back...

Duke a #2........get serious. There are more losses in their future before the end of this season. They may be a #4 or #5 at best.
This is not a prediction of the end of year, just as of now. And like it or not, Duke has the 5th RPI, the 6th SOS, 11 Top 100 wins, no bad loss to a team outside the Top 53, etc, etc and is still a half-game ahead of Wake, the only other legit 2 contender this morning.

"As of now" Wake has defeated Duke head to head.
the game was at wake, and they won by 2 points, that doesn't indicate much of anything. Now, if Wake sweeps them its a different story.. but the individual matchup game doesnt take you very far, unless you'd accept a VT fan saying they should be ahead of you since they beat you and youre tied in the ACC standings.

I doubt there are many Va Tech fans trying to argue the Hokies should be seeded higher than Wake. Wake and Duke, however, are competing for a better seed (and the chance to play in Greensboro) so head-to-head results should be considered. You might develop a little more credibility by acknowledging that result, even if you don't think it is as important as other factors. Here, let me help you out...
"That's true, Wake did beat Duke earlier this year, but I don't think that alone is enough to get Wake a higher seed at this point. Wake only won by two and it was on their home floor. For me, I put more weight on the RPI and SOS."

It is nice to see a little love for the Gamecocks and Coach Horn. What a wonderful job being done by this first year coach. It is a shame that he will be upstaged by another first year coach in the SEC. A down year in the SEC has lowered the seeds of all of the possible invitees out of this conference, but I must say you have come the closest to getting it right!
South Carolina's Resume:
SOS 94 RPI 41
NON Conf. SOS 306 RPI 113
Best WIn out of conf. Baylor RPI 54
1-4 vs RPI Top 50
Worst loss: At Charleston RPI 121
4-4 Road Record, 2-3 vs Conf.

Lost to Tennessee
Tennessee's Resume:
SOS 3 RPI 18
NON Conf. SOS 30 RPI 46
Best WIn out of conf: Marquette RPI 24 Siena 30 Georgetown 37
5-6 vs RPI Top 50
Worst loss: At Auburn RPI 91
4-3 Road Record, 3-1 vs Conf.
3-1 Neutral Court Record: Marquette, Siena, Georgetown...Gonzaga being their only loss
They've beaten South Carolina.
Am I missing something to why South Carolina is a 7 while Tennessee is a 9?

After a big win vs Va Tech....do the terps have a chance if they can beat one of these teams Clemson/UNC/Duke/Wake and win out vs NC state and Virginia
Terps definitely have a chance. I dont think Clemson along with NCSU/UVA is enough, barring a great showing in the ACC tourney. But if they can add Clemson and one of Duke/UNC, now they're in serious business.
Cincy...Big East record 7-6...overall 17-9
Providence...Big East record 8-5...overall 16-9
Head to Head matchup Providence 2 Cincy 0...
The Bearcats are 0-7 vs the RPI Top 25 which really hurts, however it could suddenly change in their next 3 games, Louisville, West Virginia, Syracuse...all 3 being in the RPI Top 25
What's your take on Temple
What's your take on Temple as an at-large? I'm the only one on the bracket project who has them in, and they are looking to be 12-4 in the A10 when all is said and done, with wins @ Penn St. and over Tennessee. I also noticed that you gave 36 bids to the BCS conferences when the most ever given has been 34. Seems like a little leak there.
