Bracketology: January 29th
This week marks the tipping point when the weekly Bracketology slowly begins to morph into a Daily Field of 65. Expect updates every 2-3 days for the next 2 weeks before the daily updates begin. The Bracketology field is based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." Arrows indicate a team that moved up or down based on last week's performance. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially though.)
Why should you care what I have to say? Did you know, last year I was considered to have one of the Top 2 or 3 brackets (depending on the scoring rubric) amongst 53 national experts including Joe Lunardi, Gary Parrish and the like).
Movement:
Last update was Jan 26. Arrows indicate movement by seed. Two arrows equals a change of two seeds, etc..

if butler got a 3 seed. in reality we can only lose one or two more games this year, and they have to be on the road at decent teams like UWGB or UWM. and we HAVE to win the bracketbuster this year. otherwise we will get boned and have another bunk seed like 7
this isnt a projection of how it will look, but how it is as of now. reality is, as you say, that even if butler continues to win, their RPI will drop as the season goes on, and one loss will be counted more heavily than a bcs's team loss. Odds of them actually being a 3 at the season's end aren't very high
I like that little green up arrow next to Kansas......very nice

Northeastern Huskies getting some love, very nice!
Cant ignore them when they're in first place
As it stands right now UNC would be a two seed to either UConn or OU, two teams I would rather avoid if possible. It would be a great match up with Oklahoma, but to have a front line like the Huskies have would probably mean a lot of trouble for the Heels if the trio of Lawson/Ellington/Green don't play a top notch game.
