Bracketology: March 1st
|
The Bracketology field is based on how the tourney looks "as of this moment." Arrows indicate the amount of seeds a team moved since the last update. (Just because a team won or lost doesn't necessarily mean they'll move substantially though.)
Why should you care what I have to say? Did you know, last year I was considered to have one of the Top 2 or 3 brackets (depending on the scoring rubric) amongst 53 national experts including Joe Lunardi, Gary Parrish and the like).
Movement:
Previous update was February 25th. Arrows indicate movement by seed. Two arrows equals a change of two seeds, etc..
Apologies for lack of usual update on Friday. Oklahoma St and Providence move into the field, replacing Temple (who choked after finally moving back into the bubble discussion) and Florida. No changes in the top seeds, though UCONN is now the #1 seed (replacing Pittsburgh). Washington moves up to a four for the first time, while fellow Pac-10 team Arizona drops a pair. Missouri, despite getting ripped by Kansas, actually improves a seed thanks to a pair of Clemson losses.

people seem to forget that this is still kentucky time is rough right now but things can change quick. kentucky as a 12 seed is very dangerous be honest who wants to see a player like jodie meeks and patrick patterson in the first round. this is not a good time for me to say this but i have a good feeling about kentucky they can cause problems

Sand Diego St??
I really don't understand some of these selections. Can you explain why SD St deserves a bid when they are 1-5 vs the top 50?

Louisville a 3-seed?
No way is UofL behind Michigan St. or Duke right now. We had some mediocre losses early in the season, but we have long since put them behind us. We're on the verge of a 16-2 Big East record, 8-1 on the road. The Selection Committee salivates over great road records and great records at the end of the season. It all adds up to us being a strong 2-seed right now with our destiny as a 1-seed in our hands, as well. If we win the Big East regular season and tournament championships, we are an automatic #1 seed, possibly #1 overall. That is a tall order, though. But the point is we're a solid 2-seed at the moment.

How is Providence a 10 seed,
How is Providence a 10 seed, Dayton an 8 seed, but URI isn't even in the tourney? They led Duke for All but 5 minutes AT CAMERON, Lost to Providence by 1 when Baron was sick, and beat Dayton. They've also won 6 straight and 10 of their last 11, and are second in the A10.
HOW DO THEY NOT GET A SNIFF?!?!

North Dakota State University
Watch Out!!! They are hot!

Oklahoma State
Do you think the Cowboys will be in if they beat Kansas State Tuesday night? They are currently tied for fourth in the Big 12 with them and Texas, and that could be the final piece. Or do you think they need to win it and a couple games in the Big 12 Tourney?
