Betting odds are a great guide to college basketball entertainment. Unlike fans, who often ride the wave of media predictions, betting lines tend to be a bit more focused and can give you an objective picture of how teams matchup (though lines too can get caught up in the wave of human emotion).
I'll discuss my daily predictions after the lines.. these are posted solely for fun, as I do not bet on games myself, nor do I suggest anybody else does either (it's not easy). If you agree or disagree with my picks, have thoughts on the day's lines, or have upsets or picks to announce, post them below.
December 2nd: College Basketball Lines & Predictions
- listed are the day's 12 most popular/intriguing games. I only predict games from this pool due to fan interest.

PREDICTIONS
-- 13-5 on the season after splitting a pair of games yesterday. NC State let me down. ACC seems to be my problem league so far this year.
-- A ton of quality games on tap tonight, so many that I've expanded the pool to work with to 12 games.
On to the picks..
-- I like VANDERBILT by 4.5 against Missouri. The Tigers are 4-1, with a nice win over Old Dominion on a neutral court, but have yet to play a true road game. The key here is whether AJ Ogilvy brings his A game and dominates the post like he's capable of. He should be able to have his way with the likes of Bowers, Ramsey, and Stafford.
- I like DUKE on the road at Wisconsin. Duke has yet to play a true road game, which makes me nervous, but this shouldn't be a problem for the likes of Singler and Scheyer. The Badgers are solid, and a bit underrated, but I also feel Duke is underrated despite their high ranking. Duke needs to hit threes tonight to make this happen. (Note that I've struggled with ACC teams this year more then anyone else).
- Lastly, I like MICHIGAN at home against BC. Both of these teams struggled in their early tournaments, Michigan in particular had no excuse for two rather weak losses. But I haven't given up hope that Michigan can still play like a legit Top 25 team. Michigan's due for someone outside of the big 2 to finally step up.
