Betting odds are a great guide to college basketball entertainment. I'll discuss my daily predictions after the lines.. these are posted solely for fun, as I do not bet on games myself, nor do I suggest anybody else does either (it's not easy). If you agree or disagree with my picks, have thoughts on the day's lines, or have upsets or picks to announce, post them below.

PREDICTIONS

-- Split city again last night, so I'm now 35-29 on the year.

-- Today, I'll start with WILLIAM & MARY (+12.5) at Old Dominion. W&M has been struggling lately, going 1-3 including a blowout loss at VCU. The main culprit has been leading scorer David Schneider, who has been a shockingly bad 12 of 53 from the floor (22%) in that span. However, if he plays somewhat well and the Tribe keep the pace down, it should be enough to keep them from getting run out of the building.

-- We'll move into the Midwest where I like SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (-3) against Missouri St. These are two run of the milld MVC teams facing each other. Mo St has lost 4 road games in a row, and 6 of 9 overall. SIU has been far from dominant at home, losing to Bradley by 2 and Drake by 5, not to mention losses to WSU & UNI. Still, they're due for one relatively east win at home for the first time in over a month..

-- I also like NORTHERN IOWA (-6) against Wichita St. Yes, UNI lost to WSU last time out but the Panthers played their worst half of the season to start that game. I think they'll be ready for revenge tonight. Although UNI rarely wins big at home, WSU has been spotty away from home.

Adding GEORGE MASON (-1)

Adding GEORGE MASON (-1) thanks to the advice of Jon Venable below. If its wrong, blame him :) .. see below for a discussion why.

It's hard for me not to like

It's hard for me not to like George Mason on the road against Georgia State. Georgia State played George Mason tough at Mason, but I can't go against the first place team in the colonial, nor can I have confidence in the 3-8 Panthers. George Mason -1 is my favorite pick on the board tonight. I also like Ohio St -14.5 and Depaul with 17. Good luck!

That does seem like an oddly

That does seem like an oddly good line. I guess this is based mostly on GMU's close home win over Ga st by only 3 points or so. But Georgia St hasnt beaten a quality (over.500) team in the CAA yet, and only came close that one game. Are there any injuries? Seems too good.

There are no injuries that I

There are no injuries that I have seen besides players that have been missing for most of the season. Georgia State's defense obviously gave Mason trouble in their first meeting, holding them to one of their lowest scoring outings of the season, but I would take my chances with the seven game winning streak against a team that has lost eight out of their last nine.

Vandy

Vandy's been playing well. I wouldnt put too much into the UK loss, Kentucky is simply that good, especially at home. Vandy wins easy here to keep the SEC title in sites
