College Basketball Odds & Predictions
|
Betting odds are a great guide to college basketball entertainment. I'll discuss my daily predictions after the lines.. these are posted solely for fun, as I do not bet on games myself, nor do I suggest anybody else does either (it's not easy). If you agree or disagree with my picks, have thoughts on the day's lines, or have upsets or picks to announce, post them below.
January 20th: College Basketball Lines & Predictions

PREDICTIONS
-- 30-27 on the season.. been hovering around
.500 for a couple weeks now unable to make a move. Also not making as
many picks, haven't had as much time recently, which isn't helping the
cause. Let's hope a good run starts with..
-- Vanderbilt (+6.5) at Tennessee. Vandy's won 9 games in a row, and
for a brief moment following UK's loss, is the SEC leader. Tennessee is
coming off the UGA loss, which worries me somewhat, in that the Vols
should bring it 100% tonight. But I look more to the OT Ole Miss game
as an example of what we might see tonight.
-- New Mexico (+2) vs BYU. BYU have won 15 games in a row and are
unbeaten in 5 MWC games. But this is their toughest test of the entire
season, MWC play or otherwise. In their 2 other tough games of the
season (at Utah st and at San Diego St), the Cougars lost and won by 2.
New Mexico is better than Utah St and SDSU and thus I like the Lobos
here.
-- Duke (-12.5) vs Florida St. Duke hasn't been terribly impressive
lately (losing at NC State and Georgia Tech), but they're still
dominant at home with a 12-0 record. In their last 3 ACC home games, the
Devils won by 20, 20, and 21. FSU is no better then the likes of Wake
Forest and Clemson (2 of those 20 point losses), so I see no reason why
they'll fare any better.
-- Who do you like?
