The Collegehoops.net Top 100 is the ultimate ranking of college basketball's best players.  This is the first of four quarterly editions during the 2009-10 college basketball season. The next edition will be released in December, prior to the start of conference play.

The ranking is based on the following four criteria:

A) performance/accomplishments, B) skill/talent, C) pro potential, D) impact/value to team.

This is not a pure NBA prospect ranking, which can be found here Let the debates begin..

Chris Wright

Chris Wright should be in the top 25 in my opinion. He gets less minutes because of Brian gregory's system playing 11 guys. If you give him 35 minutes like alot of your top 30 guys his stats would be sick and he would average a double double. he is also one of, if not THE best dunker in the nation. Go check his highlight videos on youtube if you don't believe me. he also shot 100% from beyond the arc against Creighton which is scary. His shooting is coming along, which everyone knows that follows UD is his last step before going to the NBA.

It is time to jump on the Top Flight Train!

chris is certainly solid..

chris is certainly solid.. having him 32 seems appropriate. as you say, if he improves his shooting and becomes a bit more multi-dimensional on offense, he will have a monster year

Wesley Johnson????

Wesley Johnson????

Al-Farouq

Top 10 for sure. Even before his good start, he was a lottery pick last year if he jumped to the NBA

P'Allen Stinnett

P'Allen Stinnett shouldn't necessarilly be in the top 100, but at least in line to be. Most MVC guys had Eldridge player of the year and Stinnett 2nd, but some had P'Allen over Osiris. I don't necessarily think P'Allen is as good as Osiris Eldridge, but he's at least within 60 players of him.

Jeremiah Rivers

He played under the Georgetown system, which handicapped him from running and pushing the ball up the floor in a fastbreak kind of fashion. He sat out last year because he transferred to Indiana. He's got all the tools; defense, mid-range shot, and great drive to the hoop. Those three dynamics along with his great ballhandling calls for him to be on this list, somewhere in the top 50.

I said this already Brandon

I said this already Brandon Johnson needs to be in the top 100. USD just upset Oklahoma in Alaska. Led by 22 points by BJ. He scored 18 points in the first half limping at hurt and barely played in the second half. He straight balled up Willie Warren when they were both in the game and He is 13 on this list. BJ has to be in the top 100 come on. 18 points in one half hurt.
