Top 50

The Collegehoops.net Top 50 Power Ranking is the web's premier ordering of the national college basketball scene.  Is the Top 50 Better than the AP or the Coaches Polls? Perhaps.. but at the very least, the Top 50 has no agenda like the coaches and we go deeper into the country than most power-conference biased media members. The CHN Top 50 is brought to you before everybody else on Sunday night! (New: Check out the weekly Non-BCS Top 25 Ranking.)

I'm glad to see the Illini

I'm glad to see the Illini breaking the top 15. They have a tough schedule the next few weeks, but if they can pull it out they might be able to break the top 10.

I figure they'll go 3-2

I figure they'll go 3-2 their remaining 5 games (losing at MSU and either 1 of at OSU/PSU), which will probably keep them in the 15ish range.

How do you justify LSU below S.Car. and Florida?

LSU has a higher RPI than Florida and South Carolina, leads them by two games in the SEC, has a better overall record than both, and smacked around South Carolina when they played; yet you have Florida and South Carolina ranked higher? What possible justification can you have for that?

Dayton not being in the

Dayton not being in the ESPN/COACH'S poll is a joke.

Dayton

Overall record 23-3

2 top 15 wins (Xavier Marquette)

8 top 100 wins

Ranked 25th in RPI

I wouldn't get worked up

I wouldn't get worked up about the Coaches Poll. Most simply wouldn't have even noticed Utah St lost the other day. Next week when they realize what the AP voters did, the coaches poll will knock USU down

LSU

LSU is a joke. Look at their sched. They have played ONE ranked team (loss), and a whopping 7 games away from home. Just because they beat one team ahead of them in the rankings, doesn't mean they should be ranked at all.
