Top 50

The Collegehoops.net Top 50 Power Ranking is the web's premier ordering of the national college basketball scene.  Is the Top 50 Better than the AP or the Coaches Polls? Perhaps.. but at the very least, the Top 50 has no agenda like the coaches and we go deeper into the country than most power-conference biased media members. The CHN Top 50 is brought to you before everybody else on Sunday night! (New: Check out the weekly Non-BCS Top 25 Ranking.)

Some questions regarding Memphis

I would really like to know why you Memphis ranked above Xavier, im not saying xavier should be ranked higher but more why you have memphis ranked that high (a few spots in front of the musketeers). As it stands:
* X has more wins, less losses
* X beat the Tigers straight up on a neutral site down in San Juan
* X has a stronger SOS
* X has a stronger RPI (X:7 M:14)
* Memphis's best win is most likely @ Seton Hall, they really have not
beat a quality team this season although there losses are actually
not bad whatsoever (Georgetown, Syracuse, Xavier)

I understand rankings usually operate on the basis that if a team wins they move up a little and down a little if they lose. I would like to see why you think Memphis is so good when they have proved little into the season, i fail to see what evidence proves the ranking.

I agree with the previous

I agree with the previous poster, Memphis is ranked too high. Similarly why should Texas be ranked ahead of Michigan St?

MSU/Texas.. When I'm wrong I'm wrong

Agree that MSU should definitely be ahead of Texas. This will be changed shortly when I update it for UCLA/USC result.. really have no clue what I was thinking there.. when I'm wrong I'm wrong.

Shawn, im just curiously

Shawn, im just curiously wondering if you still believe that Jeff Teague, the one that I've been promoting on this site relentlessly since november, is indeed NOT one of the top ten best gaurds in the nation?
