Memphis at 16?

You do realize that Memphis lost head to head (and has a lesser resume) than Xavier... right?

Props for being more intelligent than the average pollster though by putting 1 loss Butler ahead of 2 loss Xavier when Butler has the head to head win over X (and a better resume too).

So overall, I give it a B+ :)

Why did ND only drop one

Why did ND only drop one spot to 15 after 2 losses this week? At some point in order to be one of the top 15 teams in the nation shouldn't a team at least ponder the idea of playing defense? Just a thought. You are feeding into the lovefest Shawn. You will be disappointed.

Did you watch the

Did you watch the Tennessee-Kentucky game? There is certainly no way anyone watching could have thought Tennessee was the better team after that beatdown. And it wasn't just Jodie Meeks either. As a Louisville fan, I hate the Cats, but honestly, who other than maybe a select four or five teams is playing better than them right now.

UK

I have a bit of a stronger memory than most.. one nice win doesnt change a whole season (ie, the pollsters will be more reactionary towards single wins, like BC beating UNC, michigan beating duke, etc) but season-long trends ultimately prevail. The kicker though is that UK is about to go on a roll and knock off a bunch of mediocre to poor SEC teams, so in time I'll almost inevitably move UK up the rankings. But for now, their overall body of work isn't worthy of being too much higher.

Ok...

And what about the Memphis/Butler/Xavier rankings??

Very well put together rankings...

The reason that Notre Dame didn't drop too much is the quality of their losses being to very good Big East Opponents. Syracuse is playing good basketball right now and Notre Dame ran into a hot team so why punish a top 25 team like Notre Dame with two quality players and many tough games to go. Now if they lose two more games then you will see a major slide but for right now I agree with the 15 ranking.

I just dont see it with

I just dont see it with Notre Dame. Harangody and McAlarney are great offensive players there is no denying that. But at what point does giving up over 70 PPG hurt you? I think 15th in the nation is too high for a team that doesnt stop people from scoring. They are your rankings and your opinion, but I disagree with the ranking of ND.

ND

Definitely along with Memphis one of few spots where I differ strongly with the pollsters. My thing with ND is that they still only have 1 bad loss (at St. John's) but huge wins over the likes of Texas and Georgetown. compare to Louisville for example who has 1 bad loss (home to WKU), and 2 eh losses (MInnesota and UNLV at home) and whose best win is at home to pitt and.. ND. But even ND it took them overtime at home, which is a strong indication ND is the better team.

with that said, ND will no doubt drop coming up. They're in the midst of perhaps the hardest stretch of any team in the country all season.

at Louisville
at Syracuse
vs UCONN
vs Marquette
at Pitt
at Cincy (the "easiest" game)
at UCLA (just to add to the Big East misery)
vs Louisville

That's 7 of 8 games against Top 12 teams! Brutal

Cal is 24, but Mizzou is 47?

Cal is 24, but Mizzou is 47? Stupid. Tigers beat Cal by 27 and that could have been worse. While in Puerto Rico, they also beat USC and should have beaten Xavier. Illinois is also way too low, especially since they beat a Purdue team AT W. LAYFAYETTE.
