Thoughts

-- Texas, Pittsburgh, and Clemson each put up 2 losses this week. I never had UT #1, and had Pitt much lower then the polls (18th vs 9th), so those don't shake things up here as much as in the national polls.

-- Old Dominion is the sole newcomer this week. The Monarchs started in the CHN Top 50 before fading after a few weeks, but have been on a tear recently. They beat fellow CAA Top 50 member William & Mary on the road this week.

-- Siena's on the verge of re-entering the Top 50 for the first time in 2 months so long as they keep dominating the rest of the MAAC.

-- Besides Siena, other former Top 50 teams regaining form include Xavier, Seton Hall, Tulsa, and Maryland.

-- Vanderbilt, moving from 33rd to 20th, is the week's big mover. The Commodores are 4-0 in SEC play, but have a brutal week with road games at Tennessee and Kentucky. This could

BYU over Temple

Still dont understand it. They played a crappy non-conf schedule, which is the only reason they have one loss. They're a good team, but they shouldn't be ranked ahead of Temple who has a tougher schedule. Still dont understand the lovefest for BYU.

cant argue temple's played a better schedule. but lets assume byu would have lost to georgetown and kansas just like temple did. that leaves temple with a neutral loss to st john's and byu a road loss to utah st.  both very similar teams to me. regardless, byu has their toughest game yet (at new mexico) and may very well lose putting temple back ahead so long as they win their challenging game at charlotte coming up.

That's it SHAWN. You've disrespected my pirates for the last time. Keon Lawrence has much talent driving a car as you do authoring a top 50. Not including the pirates has earned you my undying devotion to NOT linking your top 50 anymore on my site. I'm more powerful on the iNet than Vince McMahon in the WWE.

did you forget about the

did you forget about the hall's 6 losses in 8 games streak so soon after a couple of home wins? I was high on the Hall for awhile if you followed my ranking all season, but they need to prove they can get it done on the road. with 3 road games coming up, theyll have their chance

SOS - Jeff

I have come to the conclusion that Shaun simply doesn't look at SOS. Guess it's too much work.

St. Johns? Seriously. They

St. Johns? Seriously. They are awful. How can you put them in over Virginia, who is tied for first place in the ACC at 3-1.

st john's isn't in. they

st john's isn't in. they were in for a brief moment. the bottom teams are those who have dropped out after being in at some point or another.

Virginia is terrible

They are just not that good. They put a nice little run together against GT, NC State and Miami. Unfortunately NC State and Miami will end up right where Virginia will... at the bottom half of the conference. GT is a good win, but one good win does not get you top 25. Neither do losses to the likes of Auburn, Penn St., USF and Stanford.
