We’re officially done with the college football season, meaning my man crush on Tim Tebow can subside, and also we can now all turn our full attention to college hoops. Some surprises early in conference play (BC over UNC??) have made these early-conference match-ups that much more important for a few teams. Here’s a look at some games to keep an eye on.
2009 is finally here, and that means the rush and stress of the holidays are finally over.. which means there’s no better time to grab a comfortable chair and take in some hoops. The first weekend of the year offers some great match-ups, and it’s time to start separating the contenders from the pretenders as conference play is getting geared up. Now that the presents have been unwrapped and many of you are rushing to stores for post-Christmas deals, it's time for college football to blitz into the new year with a glut of games. You can argue all day about the merits of thirty-four bowl games (personally, I think it's too many), but at the least some of these games offer momentary diversions from college basketball, which in many cases is still a week or so away from conference play.
Wake Forest, Miami and now the Clemson Tigers are slowly beginning to earn this elite respect as well.
