PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Notre Dame forward Luke Harangody and Pittsburgh forward Sam Young are repeat selections on the 2008-09 All-BIG EAST First Team, the league announced. The conference's head coaches choose the all-conference teams. The coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players. This year, the league returned to five-player teams after having 10-player teams for the past three seasons.

Six players were named to the All-BIG EAST First Team. The BIG EAST Player of the Year will come from that list.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. –  After claiming its first BIG EAST regular-season title in the last game of the 2008-09 conference season, Louisville has earned the top seed in the 2009 BIG EAST Championship.

Connecticut (13-2, at Marq, vs ND, at Pitt)

Louisville (12-2, at G'Town, vs Marq, vs SHU, at WVU)

Marquette (12-2, at UCONN, at Lou, at Pitt, vs Syr)

Pittsburgh (12-2, at PC, at SHU, vs Marq, vs UCONN)

With only two weeks left, there's still plenty to talk about in the Big East.  Some teams have been pleasant surprises (Providence, Marquette) and others not so much (Georgetown, Notre Dame).  But to those of you who need to catch up on the action, here's what you need to know about what's happened and what to look for down the road.
