Big Ten: All-December

January 5th, 2008
Indiana

Status quo in the Big Ten, as Drew Neitzel is the only person on the All-December team that didn’t make the All-November team.

Guard – Drew Neitzel – Michigan State – SR
14.5ppg, 4.6apg, 2.5rpg
Best game – Dec 15th – IPFW – 18 points, 5 assists, 4 boards, 2 steals

Senior Neitzel’s scoring is down this year, but he is doing something far more important to the team’s success – taking care of the ball. He has a very solid 4.29 assists to turnover ratio, and in the month of December dished out 32 dimes and only turned the ball over eight times.

The answer to that question won’t be known until March, but this year’s field does have something that last year’s didn’t: one of the nation’s best freshmen. His name: Michael Beasley of Kansas State. But to focus solely on Beasley would be unfair
