Back in October, CollegeHoops.net announced its Preseason All-Freshman team. Now that conference play has begun in earnest, here's our updated Mid-Season All-Americans, with comparisons to our earlier picks.

Editor's Early Preview (12/15):

Syracuse comes off a home loss to unranked Cleveland State, in which Cedric Jackson hit a miracle bomb to win the game at the buzzer. The Orange didn't deserve a victory, so the result was more than justified. The Cuse have been hanging on by a bare thread all season.. but that won't cut it against a Memphis squad that is probably under-ranked at 19th. Losing in OT at Georgetown is no shame, and I like the Tigers to reassert themselves here.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Today, I’m previewing what should be a good matchup between a pair of teams ranked in the Top 25 of the polls, as #42 Memphis (5-1) travels to the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. to face #24 Georgetown (6-1). 

Finally, a weekend where college hoops won't have to share the spotlight with college football...outside of the Heisman ceremony Saturday night anyways. Football is still on everyone's minds, but in between your BCS bashing (I hear you Texas fans) this weekend, here's a few hoops games that deserve your attention.
