HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss junior point guard Jeremy Wise will submit his name to the National Basketball Association for its June Draft. Wise, however, will not hire an agent, leaving open the possibility to return to Southern Miss next season.

Regular season champion Memphis will be the No. 1 seed at the 2009 Conference
USA Men's Basketball Championship, March 11-14 at FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.
The Tigers, ranked No. 3 in the country, enter the conference tournament as the
No.1 seed for the fourth year in a row, owning a record of 28-3 and the nation’s
longest winning streak at 22 games.
Coaches on the Hot Seat: Mid-Season
The SEC has already seen two coaching casualties in Dennis Felton and Mark "Got Fired" Gottfried. While the following coaches might make it through the season, their futures, sometimes despite multi-year contracts, are tenuous at best. In the preseason, we put out a similar list, and one of those guys, Felton, has already been axed. Will one of these six guys be the next to go?

Former Trojan Angelo Johnson Transfers to Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former USC standout Angelo Johnson has transferred to Southern Miss, head coach Larry Eustachy announced Wednesday afternoon. Johnson, a point guard, will have to sit out this year due to the NCAA's transfer rules, but will be allowed to practice with the team. A three-star prospect out of high school by Rivals.com, Johnson will have three years of eligibility remaining after playing his freshman season with the Trojans.
