With the final month of the regular season on our door step, this is a good time to put together some all-conference teams. Enter CHN writer Jon Teitel, who not only picked his all-conference teams for each league but also provided a conference Player of the Year as well. Without further ado here are the all-conference teams, with the league POY in italics.

With conference play beginning for many leagues this week (a few conferences began their league slate in early December) it's a good time to look back on some of the top performers. Enter CHN writer Jon Teitel, who put together his all-conference teams for each of the leagues.

With the first month of the college basketball season concluded, this is a good time to recognize some of the top players throughout the country. With that in mind, CHN writer Jon Teitel gave his all-conference selections for each conference (and independents, which includes the Great West in this piece).

One of the keys in playing against Michigan is to remain composed and execute your game plan. Getting away from what you do well in attempts to get the Wolverines to play a style other than their own more times than not results in a loss. That was the lesson for the Memphis Tigers, who in spite of their athletic talents have some maturing to do before referring to themselves as sure-fire national title contenders. Tim Hardaway Jr.

After going over the teams expected to win their regular season titles, we move on to talking about the top freshmen in each conference. Will all automatically take over and become the stars of their respective teams and leagues? It's tough to say at this point in the season, but that doesn't mean that we can't discuss it. MAC: Kris Brewer (Kent State)

With the college basketball season finally on the horizon, the game that's been overlooked by many in conference realignment will once again have the center stage. Perennial contenders will once again make a run at a national title while some new faces will pop up as well. The first four-part preview will focus on the conferences, and more specifically who will win each of the 32 leagues.

Early this year CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with former Norfolk State head coach Charles Christian to discuss his tenure at the school. Coach Christian won seven conference titles and was named conference Coach of the Year four times. Sadly Coach Christian passed away in early April at the age of 83.

Jon Teitel: How did you get into coaching, and why did you choose Norfolk State? 

In his most recent "Forgotten Legends" interview CHN writer Jon Teitel spent some time with Norfolk State great Bobby Dandridge. Dandridge played a year with the legendary Pee Wee Kirkland while compiling a legendary career of his own, eventually playing 13 seasons in the NBA and winning championships with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1971 and the Washington Bullets in 1978.

Jon Teitel: In 1968 you won a conference title as a teammate of playground legend Pee Wee Kirkland.
