Oregon Loses 14th Straight Pac-10 Game

EUGENE, Ore - The University of Oregon men's basketball team fell at home to Cal, 78-60, in front of a crowd of 7,529 on Thursday night at McArthur Court in Eugene, Ore.

Oregon dropped to 6-20 overall and 0-14 in conference action. The Golden Bears improved to 20-6 overall and 9-4 in league play.

Junior guard Tajuan Porter scored a team-best 19 points on 7-of-19 shooting from the floor. Fellow junior Joevan Catron added 12 points and a team-best seven rebounds. Freshman center Michael Dunigan had eight points and six rebounds for the Ducks.

Now that the presents have been unwrapped and many of you are rushing to stores for post-Christmas deals, it's time for college football to blitz into the new year with a glut of games. You can argue all day about the merits of thirty-four bowl games (personally, I think it's too many), but at the least some of these games offer momentary diversions from college basketball, which in many cases is still a week or so away from conference play.
