Kentucky: Cats Need Attitude Change Before Tough Stretch
Allow me to preface this column by saying I’m normally not a fan of making quick judgments on a new coach or new player. Adjusting to change often takes time, and that’s typically forgotten in the world of sports. So 15 games into the Billy Gillispie era at UK, I don’t know that it’s completely fair to judge the man’s coaching competency. But I do know this…I wouldn’t want to be him right now, with his team at 7-8 heading into a tough stretch of SEC play against Florida and Tennessee.
SEC: All-December Team
Freshmen are heating up in the SEC, as three of them pop up on the All-December list, as opposed to only one on the All-November one.

Best game – Dec 22nd – College of Charleston – 18 points, 7 assists, 6 boards, 3 steals
The little man is playing big for the Gamecocks, including in December with averages of around 18 points, six assists and three steals.
Guard/Forward – Shan Foster – Vanderbilt – SR

A Letter to Patrick Patterson: Stay at UK
SEC: All-Opening Month
While freshmen have ruled all the other BCS conferences, transfer players in the early going are ruling the SEC. Two crack this All-November list.
SEC: Coach Ranking
With basketball season now in full swing, and plenty of griping already going on (home loss to Gardner-Webb anyone??), it’s time to once again rank the SEC head coaches. There’s a few fresh faces, with Billy Gillispie taking over at UK and John Pelphrey taking the reins at Arkansas, but perhaps the biggest story is the coach who is still here. After two straight national titles, Florida coach Billy Dononvan accepted a job with the Orlando Magic, only to change his mind a few days later and ask out of the contract.
