Connor Atchley

College: Texas

Class: Senior

Position: PF/C

Height: 6’10”

Weight: 228lbs

Accolades: Big 12 All-Defensive Team (08), Big 12 All-Improved Team (08).

Scouting Report: A shot-blocking, three-point bombing big man.

Strengths: Good size for the NBA. Great shot blocker - led the Big 12 his junior season. Great three-point shooter - both in terms of total threes made and shooting %. Nice looking shooting stroke. Very good “pick and pop” man.

Weaknesses: Needs to add muscle/strength for the NBA. Has to develop more of a post game. Will already be 24-years-old at next June’s draft. Mediocre rebounder for his size and position. Can be too reliant on the three-point shot - almost half of his shots are from behind the arc.

Projected 2009 Draft Range: Mid to late second round pick.

Consensus: Connor Atchley will definitely find himself a job in the NBA. He won’t be anything more than a role player, but big men that can block shots and step out and hit the outside J are always in high demand.
