Betting odds are a great guide to college basketball entertainment. I'll discuss my daily predictions after the lines.. these are posted solely for fun, as I do not bet on games myself, nor do I suggest anybody else does either (it's not easy). If you agree or disagree with my picks, have thoughts on the day's lines, or have upsets or picks to announce, post them below.

PREDICTIONS

-- After finishing last week on a disastrous note, I'm down to 36-32 on the season.. way too close to .500 for comfort.

Have a feeling we'll turn it around today with..

-- NEW MEXICO ST (-2) against Louisiana Tech. NMSU has been playing better of late, including a big road win at La Tech a week ago by 17 points. La Tech's 8-3 road record does look quite good, but they haven't played any of the WAC's quality teams (Utah St, Nevada, or NMSU) away yet.

-- LOYOLA (+20.5) at Butler. On the most part, Butler rarely wins home games by such a large margin. The 2 exceptions this year are a 91-61 romp over Youngstown St and a 72-49 beat down of Green Bay. YSU is pretty darn bad, so that one made sense, while the Green Bay game seemed a bit of an abberation. Loyola also lost to Butler by only 1 earlier in the year at home.

-- RIDER (+1.5) against Niagara. Rider is an odd team. They've won road games at Fairfield and Niagara, 2 of the better teams in the MAAC, but lost at home to lowly Loyola (Md) and are just 1-4 at home recently. Its hard to imagine Rider losing yet another home game to a team they have equal talent too (if not slightly better).

That's my picks for the day, let's hear who you like below. Good luck!

Kansas

I think Texas is the most overrated team in the country. Their recent struggles are not a fluke but the real thing. Kansas wins by 5+
