I think Purdue will win
It will be a dogfight this year. But I think Purdue will have the talent and experience to complete what they didn't do last year finishing in second place with a 15-3 record.
Purdue's a bit overrated to
Purdue's a bit overrated to me. Not bad, just ovrrated and I actually see them going 13-5 or 14-4 this year, while I see MSU rolling to the league title. Purdue's relatively week non-conference season and mediocre big ten/ncaa tourney period was, to me, more indicitave of their squad last year than the big ten conference record. I see them being solid, no doubt, and probably Sweet 16 at best bound, but no more.

Purdue overrated?
I'm respectfully curious how a team that returns all 5 starters, 2 key reserves and adds a talented freshman Lewis Jackson off of a 2nd place finish in the Big Ten last year is overrated? They went 2-0 against the Big Ten Champion Wisconsin Badgers last year and split with Michigan St. with a team that was loaded with underclassmen and lost only 3 conference games. They are one more year experienced. Their tourney run saw them manhandle a Baylor team that EVERYONE was picking to win and came down to the wire with a really good Xavier team that went to the Elite 8. I realize that MSU had a good run at the end of last year but they don't have Drew Neitzel and Raymar Morgan is very talented but really unproven if you think about it. Kalin Lucas is tough. But I dont see them just rolling to a Big Ten title. It's a long season so I guess we will find out.

haha nice. Pullin out the archives on me. I really meant Digger Phelps when I said everyone though. Because he knows all ha.........Do you guys know when you will have the tv schedule out for this season or when it comes out? Thanks
thats a good question
thats a good question actually. It won't be up until after the first day of game is all I know.
its amazing how good my memory is when it comes to correct predictions.. bad ones on the other hand I have no clue about..

Purdue better, but scheduling makes up the difference.
I'm right with you Pete. I really don't think there is any question that Purdue and State are 1-2 in this conference. Morgan and Lucas really played well near the end of the season and will be great again this year. But I just don't see how you can say that State is a better team than Purdue after being worse than them last year and losing Neitzel.
However, the scheduling does work out in States favor. Purdue only plays Minn & IU once, where the two games State's missing is @Wis, and Michigan. Because of this scheduling discrepancy I think the big ten title is up for grabs.
Looks like the whole title could very well come down the the last game of the season: Purdue @ State.

Illinois will win the big ten
Along with Tom Izzo Bruce Webber is the best coach in the big ten. Illinois has had some down years but this year they are underrated with a few key returning seniors and a lot of good young players. Look for Illinois to take the conference by suprise and win the regular season title.

I think MSU will win.. but
I think MSU will win.. but mark down 2nd place for Wisconsin now. Bo Ryan will work his magic once again.
