What do we do?

CollegeHoopsnet.com is a full service college basketball website, featuring news, commentary, interviews, awards, stats, rankings and more. CHN prides itself on being the best College Basketball specific site on the web.

Over 30 writers cover dozens of teams and conferences around the country, including coverage of live events like conference tournaments and the NCAA tournament. In the spring & summer months, CHN receives a large portion of its traffic from its NBA Draft & college recruiting content.

Unlike the majority of sports websites, CHN is credentialed by many teams and conferences to provide live coverage alongside the big boys. Besides the readable content, CHN also includes interactive experiences like a message board, contests, and polls.

CHN opened in August of 2002, following the success of NJHoopsnet.com. From very humble beginnings (see original page design), to a modest site (see 2nd page design), CHN has grown into one of the best looking sports sites on the net (current design.)

CHN has been constantly growing since its inception. Traffic has grown 300% from February 2004 until February 2005. The increase in traffic is due to many reasons: better looking site, better content, more content, more incoming links & higher search engine rankings.

CHN has two peak periods during the year. The 1st peak is the end of conference tournament week, Selection Sunday, and the 1st week of the NCAA Tournament. The 2nd peak is the NBA Draft.

The busiest day in terms of page views in CHN's history was Macrh 14th, 2005 with over 119,200 page views. In terms of unique visitors, the peak was 24,500 on March 14th, 2005. The busiest month in CHN's history was March, 2005 with an average of over 40,000 page views and 11,600 unique visitors per day.
