CollegeHoopsnet.com (and later CollegeHoops.net) was founded by Shawn Siegel in August 2002.
Siegel is the main force behind CHN, NJHoopsnet.com, and PrepsUSA.com. At various points in the past, he has doubled as the site's general webmaster, content & copy editor, graphic designer, sales specialist, and public relations guru. These days he's toned down his duties to managing the site's advertising and occasionally contributing articles.
A graduate of Washington University in Saint Louis & Washington University Law School, Siegel currently resides in New Jersey. He majored in Political Science & History, with a minor in Philosophy. Siegel also enjoys and does freelance work involving web, graphic, and logo design.
As mentioned above, in his spare time, Siegel writes for the CHN, covering the NBA Draft and NCAA Bracketology in particular, where he has been ranked nationally in terms of his ability to predict the Draft & the NCAA field. In the past, he has written freelance articles for multiple websites and print publications. These include: CarolinaBlue.com, FlyersHoopsnet.com, GoBlueWolverine Magazine, HoopsWorld Magazine, HuksersIllustrated.com, PirateCrew.com, Rookie Review Magazine, RutgersFan.com, UHND.com, VUSports.com, WVUSports.com, and more. He has also appeared as a guest on many sports radio stations including Sportstalk Cleveland 850AM, XTRA 690 San Diego, Fox Sports 1290 Tucson amongst others.
