By: Bill Ingram
Last week Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard, commonly known as Superman after he wowed the All-Star crowd in New Orleans with his high-flying slam dunk routine, recorded his first career triple-double. Playing against the front court challenged Oklahoma City Thunder, Howard thundered down 30 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 blocks in a 109-92 Magic win.

Donovan Returning to Florida?..
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the Orlando Magic will allow former Florida head coach Billy Donovan to return to the Gators. "It's over," said a source close to the situation. Donovan, who agreed to a 5-year, $27.5 million deal on Friday but reportedly regretted it soon thereafter, discussed the matter over the weekend with both Magic General Manager Otis Smith and President Bob Vander Weide. Unless Donovan wakes up today and changes his mind, the Magic will let him go, the source said. Donovan has won back-to-back championships with Florida; the leading candidate to replace him was VCU's Anthony Grant, who said Sunday that he has not met with anyone from Florida yet.
2006 NBA Draft Statistical Projection Recap
Every season, I project the future statistics of top NBA prospects. Before I get to this season's first projections for the 2007 prospects, I wanted to take a look back at 2006. Overall, I projected very meek stats for last year's class, and my lack of confidence turned out to be right. There just wasn't too much excitement. Luckily on the most part, my projections were pretty solid.
Last year's stats.

Sources: Donovan says yes to the Magic
According to ESPN.com, Billy Donovan will be introduced by the Orlando Magic as their new head coach tomorrow. Original reports had the signing at six year, $36 million, but the Associated Press is reporting that the deal will be for five years at $27.5 million. Many expect Florida to look to former assistant and current VCU head coach Anthony Grant to fill the vacancy.
Donovan to Accept Magic Job?
Rumors out of Orlando are that Billy Donovan is set to accept the Orlando Magic's head coaching position. Reports suggest that the Magic's offer is in the $6 million a year range, but this is only speculation. No official word has been released by Donovan or the Magic, but a decision is expected to be made within the week.
